Everybody knows the black painted oil barrels stood up in weekend gardens, which we can take a shower from in the evening after gardening works. Wouldn’t it be good if we could use them all the year? We thought it would; but how could it be possible? We figured it out, and it’s easier than you would think.
Pain of householders
In Hungary, a typical family uses 2,000 kWh of energy for producing hot water (for bathing, washing and dish washing) per year, the majority of this amount is generated by electric power. That means the operation cost of electric water heater for a family € 320/y and € 3.200/10y, this is the pain of EHW users!
Nationally, it is a significant amount of energy, calculating with 4 million families it is 8 million GWh and about € 1.28 billion per year, and it’s only the territory of Hungary.
The HelioBarrel was planned to supply the hot water needs of houses and block houses. By using the product our customers can save money, and the device can be paid off in the first year due to the reduction of electric power consumption. The end-users could decrease or even more, ideally eliminate the CO2 emissions created by hot water use.
Problems of actual competitor solar collectors:
The HelioBarrel is a supplementary solution/device for domestic hot water production. The HelioBarrel offers the mature European solar market a revolutionary, elegant and cheekily simple product with significant ROI improvements. It can reduce the overhead costs of households, leaving more money in the families’ pocket.
ROI ~1year – Return on the competing manufacturers is between 2-5 years. In the worst case at least 50% of the domestic hot water costs (approximately € 160) returns can be expected with a HelioBarrel (est.price: € 160).
